Conservation has received several magazine awards since its inception, including:
A 2007 Maggie Award for Best Association Magazine and a 2006 Maggie Award for Best Quarterly Magazine from the Western Publications Association.
2007 and 2006 Gold Excel Awards for General Excellence, a 2007 Gold Excel Award for Best Feature, a 2003 Silver Excel Award for Best Feature, and a 2002 Gold Excel Award for General Excellence from the Society of National Association Publications.
A 2003 Eddie Honorable Mention for Outstanding Editorial Work for a magazine wih a circulation of less than six issues per year. Presented by Folio.
