It may be many more years before we see the impact of pollinator decline on agriculture. It cannot be denied that we are currently facing a biodiversity crisis, like the biologist E.O. Wilson states, “If enough species are extinguished, will ecosystems collapse and will the extinction of most other species follow soon afterwards? The only answer anyone can give is: Possibly. By the time we find out, however, it might be too late.
