I am the daughter of a Puget Sound commercial fisherman. I was fishin with muh pa before the Judge Boldt decision. Even as a child I recognized there were going to be dramatic changes in how my blue collar kin were going to make a living. As an adult I comprehend the fear my father felt at how he was going to provide for the family.

I grew up on seafood and I do feel healthier when I eat it. I would definitely subscribe to a share catch knowing that sustainable fishing practices were utilized.

Throughout my life I have earned a reputation as a frugal person. I don't shop at Walmart because I am too cheap, purchasing items of low durability that I have to repurchase is unacceptable. But I see great value in purchasing food this way.
